William Snow, Sr.

BANGOR – William James Snow, Sr., devoted husband of 54 years to Patricia F. (Walsh) Snow, died December 29, 2013 at a local hospital. Bill was born Jan. 3, 1936 in Bangor, son of Stewart S. Snow and Lillian M. (Holmes) Snow.

Bill was a graduate of Bangor High School, class of 1954. After graduation he joined the Maine Air National Guard where he served for 38 years.

Surviving are his beloved wife, Pat of Bangor; two sons, William J. Jr. and James A., both of Bangor; two daughters, Robin L. Curran of Bangor and Karen S. Archibald and her husband, Gary of Ocoee, Florida; five grandchildren, Taylor Curran of Brighton, MA, Mallory Curran and significant other, Justin Dellaire of Litchfield, NH, Alyssa M. Keezer of Bangor, Kate and Phoebe Archibald of Ocoee, Florida; one sister, Barbara F. Boone of Sangerville. He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Robert S. Snow, Sr.

A graveside service with military honors will be held 1pm Friday Jan. 3, 2014 at Pine Grove Cemetery, Bangor with Chaplain Richard M. Dickinson, Lt. Col Retired, Maine Air National Guard, officiating. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center Street, Bangor, immediately following the graveside service Friday.
