Bangor – William Kelso “Bud” Spellman, 90, passed away peacefully December 2, 2020. He was born August 19, 1930, the son of James and Edna (Mazarell) Spellman.
He graduated from John Bapst High School before serving in the United States Marine Corps and Air Force. He worked many years for Bangor City Hall and later retired from a security position at the James River Mill. Bud was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching football, basketball, and baseball. He was also fond of hunting and fishing during his younger years.
He is survived by a son, David Spellman, of Eddington, and his children, David Spellman, Jeffrey Spellman, and Gabrielle (Spellman) Barnett; a daughter, Sally (Spellman) Thorne and husband, Edward, of Hermon, and their children, Jennifer (Thorne) Vish (a special granddaughter) and Sara (Thorne) Gallant; Mandi Ford, Shannon (Ford) Richards, and Ashley Spellman. Also, special friends of the heart, Sherry and Kati Glencross.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Joan (Muldoon) Spellman; a son, William Spellman; a daughter, Mary-Jo (Spellman) Ford; a son, Anthony Spellman; and a daughter, Elizabeth Spellman.
He will be missed by many.
