Willie peacefully passed away on January 24, 2019, in Bangor, Maine. The daughter of Emma and Harold Dunn, she was born in Griggs, Oklahoma, on March 22, 1925. In 1947, she married Billie D. Reid and together they served their country and traveled the world while raising their five children. She was devoted to her faith and church communities. Willie was active in the Bangor Nature Club, Linus Quilting Club, and the Dorothy Day Soup Kitchen. She enjoyed time spent at Phillips Lake, singing in her church choir, watching her favorite sports teams, and spending time with family and friends.
Wilnette was predeceased by her husband Billie of 47 years; two daughters, Louise Yudichak and Sara Reid and six brothers.
She is survived by a son Flint Reid and his wife Janet of Pittsfield and daughters Joan Ross and her husband Richard of Port St. Lucie, Florida, and Carol Reid of Bangor. She will be lovingly remembered by grandchildren Damon, Heidi, Karlin, Tracie, Lindsay, Jared, Amy, Cameron, Hannah, Hilary, Taylor, Derrick & Natalie, 12 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; special friend Mary Rustin, and a host of long-time and newfound friends.
The family would like to thank Northern Light Hospice and the staff at Sylvia Ross Home for their care and support.
A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church, 56 Center St. Bangor, 11 am Tuesday January 29, 2019.
