WYATT “BUD” ALVIN SPENCER III
BANGOR – Wyatt “Bud” Alvin Spencer III, 89, passed away June 14, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the owner of Bud and Rays Auto Body Shop for over 65 years.
Bud was truly the kindest, most hard working, loving, funny, strong and compassionate person anyone would meet. He was patriotic loving his country. He served in the Korean War earning three bronze stars and many medals. His interests were many but he had a passion and love for brook fishing, deer hunting, camp life, horseracing and especially auto racing and storytelling.
Bud loved, inspired, and touched many. Each step he took in life made a difference and every lesson he ever taught to those who met him, will last forever. Every memory he made, his laugh he shared, the twinkle in his blue eyes and his infectious smile he brought to others, will be treasured always. He had ears that truly listened, arms that held, love never-ending and a heart made of gold! He loved everything in life but most of all his wife and family.
He is survived by his loving wife Norma of 70 years. Two daughters, Renee and Gary Smith, Darcel and William Bryant. Precious grandchildren Jesse and Mandie Smith, Courtney and Matt Colton, Whitney Bryant, Katrice and Ben Hinton, Gabrielle and Zach Sugar, Bayley Bryant and eleven great grandchildren. Wyatt was predeceased by his daughter, Wyann Millington and grandson Travis Millington.
A service of remembrance will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center Street, Bangor with Rev. Chad L. Poland, officiating. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the home of Jesse and Mandie Smith, 98 Crogan Road, Hermon, immediately following the service.
