FRANKFORT – Zachary “Ziggy” Edward Callahan, 21, died unexpectedly May 25, 2014. He was born November 29, 1992, in Hermon, the beloved son of Doretta McLeod Callahan of Frankfort and Edward V. Callahan of Bangor.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his best friend and brother Matthew Callahan of Frankfort; paternal grandmother, Andrea Callahan; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He is also survived by many brothers and sisters especially Monk, George, Dugas, Taco, Cody, T-Pot, Dunky, Willdo, Snake, Markie, Woody, Nikki, Alyssa, and many many more.
Zachary attended Searsport and Glenburn elementary schools and graduated from Brewer High School. He served in the U.S. Navy and recently graduated from NTI for HVAC.
Zachary was a good, loving son and good brother, very deeply devoted to his family and friends. He lived life to the fullest with an infectious smile, and a twinkle in his eye. He Loved Life.
Relatives and friends are welcome to call 5-7 p.m., Friday, May 30, 2014, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where a funeral service will be held 1 p.m., Saturday May 31. Interment will be at a later date. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163, Center St., Bangor, following the service.
