Obituary for Daphine Marie Conley (Theriault)

Daphine Marie Conley (Theriault)
Hermon and Bangor - Daphine Conley, 91, died peacefully December 6, 2016, at a local health care facility. She was born December 25, 1924, in Presque Isle, the first daughter of Henry A. and Mavis (Dyer) Theriault.

Daph attended schools in Presque Isle and after graduation worked at the telegraph office and Sears Roebuck in Presque Isle. In 1967 she married Ralph M. Conley and was a devoted and loving wife. They enjoyed square dancing, travelling, and gardening. Those who knew Daph couldn’t help but love her. She welcomed you with a warm smile. Daph loved to have fun and laughter came easily to her.

She was predeceased by her husband; one sister Claris Lowe; and two brothers Terry “Sonny” Theriault and Gerald “Jeb” Theriault. Daph is survived by her sister Patricia Doyle and husband Joseph of Mapleton; and friends Jim and Gaynor Reynolds of Gorham.

Special thanks to the staffs at Westgate and Eastside Rehab centers for their compassionate and respectful care of Daph for the past twelve years; and to the staff of Beacon Hospice who provided care at the end of her life.

A graveside service will be held at the Sebec Corner Cemetery, Sebec, in the spring. Those who wish to remember Daphine in a special way may make gifts in her memory to the Eastside Center Activity Fund, 516 Mt. Hope Avenue, Bangor, Maine 04401.
