Joshua Scott  Jamieson
Bangor and Davenport, FL - Joshua S. Jamieson, 40, died May 8, 2017 at his home in Florida. He was born, October 19, 1976, in San Gabriel, CA.

A graduate of Bangor High School, class of 1995, Josh was an outstanding athlete, playing football, basketball, baseball, and was part of two State Championship teams. He also enjoyed golfing with friends. Josh’s favorite pastime was putting a smile on your face.

A proud Marine, Josh served for eight and half years and did five tours in Iraq. As in athletics, Josh excelled as a Marine and because of his excellence received the following accolades: the Navy-Corps Comm. Medal, Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal (2), Sea Service Deployment Medals (5), Navy Unit Comm. Iraq Campaign Medal (2), National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Certificate of Commendations (2) and Rifle Qualification Badge (Expert 2).

He was predeceased by his grandmother, Linda (Hamilton) Diaz, grandfather, Wendell Rideout Jr., grandmother, Janice Rideout, and his uncle Kurt Rideout.

Josh is survived by his mother, Lynn (Rideout) Conary, and his “Dad” Mark Eldridge, of Millinocket; sister, Kurstin and her husband, Billy Martin and their children, Chance and Madison, of Alva, FL and Caitlyn Kill, of Waterville; aunt, Wendy and her husband Bill Noonan, and their family of Lincoln; uncle, Bart Rideout, of Connecticut; uncle Bret Rideout and family of California; Aunt Brandi and Sabrina, of CO; His “brother” John Conners and family; his work family at Oaks National Golf Club, Kissimmee, FL; his extended Military Family; his beloved dog, Nala, and of course, “The Capehart Gang.”

Burial will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Mt. Hope Cemetery, 1048 State St., Bangor. A memorial service with military honors will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, June 3, 2017, at the Cross Insurance Center, 515 Main Street, Bangor with pastor Steve Smith of the Orono and Alton United Methodist Churches, officiating. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments in the pre-function room immediately following the service.
