Obituary for Ann Marie Cliff

Ann Marie Cliff
HERMON – Ann Marie (Snow) Cliff passed away with her family at her side on June 26th 2017. She was born April 19th, 1941, in Hermon, to loving parents Glenwood Hunter Snow and Lorna Olivia (Chadbourne) Snow. She was so grateful to have the blessing of an older brother, Gene and a younger sister, Joyce. She felt such pride in their character and accomplishments and enjoyed their love all her life.
She was raised in Dexter and Millinocket, graduating from Stearns High School, Class of 1959. She married Harold E. Cliff on Sept. 26, 1959. Together they built a wonderful life, raising three sons as they chased the American dream. Later, her life was blessed with the grandchildren that she dearly loved and enjoyed. When her Mom and Dad moved next door it made her life complete. Her Mom was her best friend, she loved them both so much and enjoyed every minute of their time together. Later in life, when she wasn’t planting in her garden, she and Harold traveled the world with friends and family. She enjoyed the simple things, mowing her lawn, reading, tending her flowers, a glass of wine at sunset and her New England Patriots. Harold passed in 2006 and life changed. Always positive, Ann embraced life and married Robert Hamel in 2014. He made her laugh again as they traveled the US, visiting family and enjoying life. Sadly, she lost Bob suddenly in 2016 but was thankful for their time together. Ann will be remembered for her limitless strength, kindness and love.
Ann’s legacy survives in her three sons, Leon and wife, Diane of Hermon, Daniel and wife, Karen of Hermon and Terrence and wife, Colleen also of Hermon; her grandchildren, Jennifer, Jeremy and wife Jennifer, Kendall, Sydney, Ethan, Melissa, Audrey and Cassandra, her great-grandchild, Liam. She is also survived by her brother, Gene Snow and wife, Ellie of Colorado Springs, CO, sister, Joyce Segee and husband, David of Hollis, ME and many nieces, nephews and numerous friends.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 8th at Mt Hope Cemetery in Bangor, ME. Relatives and friends will meet at the Cemetery’s Superintendents Lodge. Please arrive from the State Street entrance. A motorcade will leave for the gravesite at 1 p.m. After the service, a celebration of her life will be held at 774 Blackstream Road in Hermon.
