Memories of Sid

Sid & I went to high school together. (he was a year ahead of me). Although I really got to know Sid from working at the Lobster Pound Restaurant together. We were in our late teens ( I think).                                  Sid's family had a small cottage near a lake, somewhere inland in Maine. He asked me if I could help him re- shingle the roof as I had a little experience. On our day(s) off went set out to do the repair. Of course it was one of the hottest and most humid days of the summer. I don't remember a lot about the trip except that we slept in the back of his hatchback car in sleeping bags. It was still so warm that night, we had to leave the windows down. As you can guess, the bugs ate us alive. I don't think either of us got any sleep. But we got the roof fixed....................Bless you Sid,
