The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Roberta D. Sawyer can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.

Julie Arnold LIsnet

Roberta was a friend and neighbor and one of the first people we met after moving to Milbridge in 1964. From the moment I met her at the tender age of 5 I thought she was one of the most beautiful women I’d ever seen. She took us on a tour of Petite Manan point and Dutton Cottage and of course the little chapel in the woods, All Souls by the Sea. We fell so in love with it I got married there in 1984. It’s still a favorite spot. Roberta and my mom (who I lost October 26, 2017) became fast friends and stayed friends for the 37 years we lived there and beyond. I know I speak for my brother, Rick, sister, Jeannette and my dear mom, Tutta, if she were still with us, that we count ourselves lucky to have known Roberta. May she Rest In Peace.
